WDR Weather Data Research
Beta Period is Active. No Charge for Reports. Let it Rip!

Not sure of the date?

Mark the property on the map and tell us how far back to look. We will search the official archives and list every date with documented hail or wind reports near that point. Free.

Satellite view. Drag the pin onto the actual structure — not the driveway, not the street. Every distance in your results is measured from this point.

No pin set yet.

The results open straight away. We email you the same link so you can come back to it. Working a whole neighbourhood? Sign in and you can run 40 searches an hour instead of 6.
Looking for older damage? We can search 10 years — ask us. A decade near a storm-prone city returns a great many dates, which is why it is not a button.
Filters which dates are listed. Hail reports with no recorded size are common, and those are always kept — an unrecorded size is not a small one. Keep that in mind when applying a filter. Choosing a size also hides dates with no hail on them.

What this searches. NCEI Storm Events (the certified national archive) and NWS Local Storm Reports, the same records a WDR Report is built from, over the same radius — 10 miles for hail and 15 for wind. If a date appears in this list, a report for that date will have reports in it.

What it does not do. It does not rank dates, guess which storm caused damage, or tell you which date to claim. It lists what the archives hold, newest first, and you choose.
